Sam Magee & Tony Stephenson were defeated in the semi-final of the Panvita RSL Slovenian International 2010 by Ruud Bosch & Koen Ridder (NED) 18-21, 16-21 on Saturday, 15th May.

They received a walkover at the quarter final stage earlier today.

Friday 14th May

First up today was Chloe Magee in the Women’s Singles against Sonia Olariu (Rom). Chloe did not find her game today and was defeated 21-17 21-12.

Then came Scott against Martin Bille Larsen (DEN). Scott came into this match carrying an ankle injury and never quite settled. He was defeated 21-15 21-19.

Sam Magee & Tony Stephenson then came to court to play Matej Janosik & Jarolim Vicen (SVK). Tony and Sam won 21-7 21-16.

In the mixed Sam Magee/Chloe Magee took to the court to play Luka Petric (SVK) & Hana Prochazkova (CZE). Sam and Chloe lost the 1^st set 21-19 and the 2^nd set and match 21-18. 

Sam &Tony defeated Ondrej Kopriva/Tomas Kopriva(CZE) 16-21, 23-21, 21-18 in a tough three setter.

Tony Stephenson was defeated by Martin Bille Larsen (Den) this afternoon 21-18 21-17

Earlier, Tony Stephenson was the first Irish player to take to court in this year’s Slovenian International against Emre Vural from Turkey in the Men’s Singles qualification. Tony won this match 21-19, 21-19
