Athletes should be aware of the Irish Anti-Doping Rules.  The Irish Anti-Doping Rules were launched in 2004, and updated on 01 January 2009. 

Jim Laugesen, High Performance Coach, has visited centres in all four Branches as part of the High Performance Selection Process.

The U-15 Quadrangular was held in Baldoyle Badminton Centre from 24th -26th April. In the team event, Ireland narrowly lost out to England 5-4 in a thrilling match. The team beat Scotland 6-3 and Wales 7-2 finishing in a strong second place. Ireland performed extremely well in the individual events with Irish players reaching 4 out of the 5 finals and winning 2 of them.

Scott Evans was our sole representative in the All England Championships currently taking place in Birmingham.

Young Donegal player Sam Magee produced one of the finest displays ever by an Irish junior player when he won the silver medal in the prestigious Dutch Junior Open which concluded on Sunday.

Ireland were defeated by Denmark in the final match of Group 1 on Thursday evening in Liverpool. The young Irish team put in a gallant performance against a strong Danish side.
