Kildare Badminton Association held a very successful fund raising event in Kilcullen Town Theatre last night.

It started with a cheese and wine reception followed by " Poets in Paradise" which was a production by the local Theatre group from Kilcullen. The night was a great success for KBA and their hard working committee well done to all involved. Another success storey from Kilcullen is the rise to fame of Cathal Timoney who has been selected to represent Leinster in Limerick at the Special Olympics next year. Cathal just started playing badminton recently and thanks to Sheila Smith and Claire Flood for all the coaching and time they have invested in him to achieve this opportunity to play for his Province. He travels from Monastereven to Kilcullen every week for training and is always the first to arrive Badminton Ireland would like to wish Cathal and his family every joy and success in Limerick next June.
