Scott Evans was defeated in the Mens Singles Quarter Final against England's Rajiv Ouseph, (ranked 4). Scott put up a superb performance and took the first set, 21-15. The second set went right down to the wire with Ouseph coming out on top, 21-23 and also taking the third, 12-21 (16th April 2010).

Thurs, 15th April

Tony Stephenson & Sam Magee were defeated by Chris Adcock & Robert Blair (England); 22-20, 21-14 in the Mens Doubles today at the Yonex European Championships, Thursday 15th April.

Scott Evans took to the court 40 minutes later than expected against Kestutis Navickas (LTU) . Scott won the first set 21-12 and the 2^nd 21-10 to gain a quarter final place in the Championships.

First up today, Thurs 15th April, came the Men’s Doubles with Sam Magee & Tony Stephenson playing Magnus Ingi Helgason & Helgi Johannesson (ISL).  The Irish pair took the 1^st set 21-16  and the 2^nd 21-9. Great start...

Wed, 14th April

Day one from Manchester; first up for Ireland today were Sam Magee & Chloe Magee in the mixed doubles.  They faced the English pairing of Anthony Clark/Heather Olver. Sam & Chloe lost 21-15 21-16 but performed well against this pair.

Up next came the Women’s singles with Chloe Magee facing Jie Yao (Nederlands) No 4 seed.  Chloe fought hard but lost 21-12 21-18.

Then came Scott Evans facing Eric Pang (Netherlands) No 7 seed.  Scott focused from the start and won the 1^st set 21-10.  The second set was much closer but Scott’s determination took him through 23-21. Great win for him.
